    Cool

I have several bird feeder cameras, and this one has been a nice addition to my collection. It was very easy to set up, and the video quality is quite good. I love being able to see the birds up close and capture clear footage of their visits. The AI and app features are fun and add a unique interactive touch. My only concern is the price, which feels a bit higher compared to similar models I’ve tried. The feeder is made of metal, which makes it sturdy, but I do wonder how well it will hold up over time with potential rust issues. It’s painted nicely, though, so it will probably be fine. Overall, it’s a well-made, easy-to-use camera feeder that delivers great video quality and a fun birdwatching experience….. just a little on the pricey side.

Very good feeder, protective seed tray & solar panel too

Wonderful camera clarity and it's easy to move to different locations if the yard is very large. It's made of metal which as proven to be durable since I've moved it a few times. It assembles easily and has a way to stop the seeds from falling out. The birds can get to the seeds but a different animal can't. Since there's a lot of trees, the larger solar cell panel gives me peace of mind. It's stayed with power during a few rainy days. Good quality feeder that came with everything needed.

Got this for my wife to use with her hummingbirds feeder as they both operate from the same CoolFly App. Failed to connect the camera to our WIFI the first try. Let it sit for awhile and tried again making sure the QR code was scanned properly with my iPhone and was able to reach the part of the setup whereby the voice activated camera got me to the login request for my router. It’s a lengthy process so one needs to be patient. The whole unit is made of metal except for the roof which covers the bird food bin and is held in place by a thumb screw. The camera pod is also held in place by a thumb screw as is the Camera. When I mounted the camera in the vertical position with the plug in section on the bottom, the display was upside down. Had to figure the Device icon out that let me access the rotation section and flipped it 180deg after touching the arrow in the center. It comes with a pole mount device that I used to hold it in place using a 1/2” galvanized pipe attached to a screw in base that I set in place on the railing on our back porch. Hopefully, this will keep the raccoons. at bay from eating the bird food.App has a lot of features including an AI generated bird identifier. We have been attracting a Cardinal family to our other Smart Bird Feeder and this one should do the same, especially with the solar powered mini light on the roof which goes on at night.

    Coolest bird feeder ever!

To be perfectly honest, before I set this up I was a little skeptical about how well this product would work....the product page left out some key details about what was and wasn't included and exactly how it worked. But after putting it together and using for the past month, I can easily say this is one of the coolest items I've ever gotten off Amazon, hands down!Pros:- The feeder itself is made out of really high quality materials, specifically sturdy aluminum. The platforms are have- The smart features and tech that they packed into this is really fantastic....! The camera is powered by a battery that you can charge initially from an external source, and then once mounted, it can maintain its charge when you connect it to the included solar panel so that it's basically maintenance/hands free....very cool! The app setup was extremely easy and intuitive, no problems connecting to the camera right away. We love being able to see the birds up close and in-person now, something that was tricky to do with our old-school bird feeder!Cons:- The app requires a subscription if you want to retain longer videos or use the AI bird identification feature after the free trial. It's not super expensive, but still something to be aware of.- The app works great so far and really exceeded my expectations! But one caveat is how often/frequently the app will be updated and maintained. This is important since this is the primary thing that makes this bird feeder unique, otherwise it's just a regular, dumb feeder. To be fair, this issue isn't specific to this product; it's a point of caution for all smart connected/IoT devices. But something to be aware of none the less, and we're glad to report no issues so far.All in all, I would 100% recommend this product for anyone looking for a unique gift or looking to upgrade their old-school bird feeder to the next level, very cool product!

Sturdy bird feeder with a really clear camera for bird/squirrel watching

This is a very solidly built bird feeder with an interesting feeding mechanism. I like that the seeds are inside little holes, making it harder for animals to scatter the seeds around, which usually leads to wasting a lot of seeds in other bird feeders. It was fairly easy to put together and easy to install. Only major gripe with the bird feeder is the rooftop can be a pain to get into place, and it's only a pain because you have to remove that to refill the bird feeder. I would have liked some kind of latch that you could open and pour the seed into it, instead of having to remove the top every time you want to refill it.The camera is very high quality and gets a really clear image sent to your phone (through the app). I didn't subscribe to the service to identify birds, and I really haven't needed it because squirrels have commandeered the bird house (and I"m OK with it, I like watching the squirrels too). So in that regard, it's not "squirrel proof" but it does make the squirrels have to work for the food, instead of just spilling it all over the ground for their little scavenger buddies.I charged the camera to full prior to installing and two weeks later it's still going strong (at about 40%). I didn't install the solar panel charger for the camera yet, but will do so. Our backyard is heavy with oak trees so not a lot of sunshine to recharge it.While ours has become a squirrel feeder because of where we live (wooded area), I could see how this would be an amazing bird feeder. Hopefully in the spring we will start to see more birds take over the bird feeder.
