    Smart Bird Feeder

This bird feeder is such a great addition to my days. I get to look at it anytime I want my phone and it's always busy with different birds coming to eat and hang out and it's so fun to be able to identify them, learn about them and watch their little faces, it's just the cutest! The birdhouse itself is built very well and it's extremely durable and strong, very easy to go on and install the app.

    Bird

I love watching the birds at the feeder, but noticed that I really didn't know what species of birds were visiting. Some birds would sit at the feeder and look mildly disappointed with the selection, so I ordered this AI identification feeder so I could learn more about the birds, and provide them with the type of seeds they prefer! This was easy to assemble and just as simple to set up and use. Now I know I have nuthatches, swallows and wrens as well as several other species I didn't know anything about. The price of this product was worth the enjoyment I have gotten from it.

Easy to use and clear photos (but another app)

You can imagine this when you purchase, but you’ll need to download another app for all the best features. Not surprised, but still overwhelmed by the number of apps I have to download for my daily life today.Setup was super easy and seemed to immediately attract birds. The app was easy to setup too and gives vividly clear photos and videos - can even be used to peek into your yard if you don’t have security cameras.Overall, thrilled with this and happy to see all the critters that come to check out the feeder!

    Very nice birdfeeder camera

I recently installed this smart bird feeder in my backyard, and I’m genuinely impressed with several aspects — yet there are a few things to keep in mind.Setup was very easy: the unit came essentially ready-to-go, and I had it mounted, connected to WiFi, and operational within minutes. There were no confusing parts, and the companion app walked me through linking the camera and solar panel. The camera offers two modes — a wide-view setting and a close-up option. The wide view is great for catching multiple birds or seeing a broader scene, while the close-up earns serious points for capturing fine feather detail and delivering a more immersive look. I found the image quality to be sharp and quite enjoyable. One feature that stood out: a built-in deterrent/grate over the food area that is designed to keep larger unwanted visitors—namely squirrels—at bay. I haven’t yet had a full squirrel takeover, so while I can’t say it’s perfect, I appreciate the design thinking. The solar panel-powered light is another nice touch: it gets nice ambient illumination in low-light conditions and seems to keep the camera running without constant manual recharging. That said, no product is flawless. Depending on placement, angle, and lighting, you’ll want to make sure the solar panel gets enough sun (some reviewers say you’ll need to experiment with orientation). Also, while the camera modes are strong, if the lighting is harsh (e.g., direct sun) or the angle is awkward, you might not get perfect shots every time. Some earlier models noted weaker battery life when solar conditions were poor.If you’re looking for a smart bird-feeder camera setup that’s easy to install, delivers beautiful wide and close footage, has thoughtful features like squirrel deterrence and solar light/charging, this is a very strong choice. Just be mindful of placement and sun exposure to make the most of it.

    Sensitive camera

I enjoy feeding the birds year round and up to this point the feeders I use are traditional, no tech involved. I ordered this for fun and it is working as expected. Pretty easy to download the app and get it set up. The camera is very sensitive and sends me many photos/videos a day oftentimes with no bird shown - I think every insect that flies by is being picked up. There have been a few birds in the videos and it is fun to see them up close. There are various ways to install it which is a plus. The price point is a little steep but if you're a serious birder and this has all the features you are looking for I would recommend.

Camera is zoomed or focused in

This is an ok bird feeder camera. It holds a decent amount of seed and is easy to fill but the area to pour is a bit small. I like the idea of the solar powered nightlight but in order for it to be useful the seed can’t be filled to high or the light won’t won’t shine anywhere but into the top of the seeds. Placement of this light should be outside of the seed container. No external wifi antenna that I can see, makes it cleaner in appearance. I actually like the app, there’s a community feed, it’s cool to see others feeders and the birds they get. My biggest grip is the zoomed in view. I was hoping that this would double as a low key security camera, but the background is blurry. I have to camera feeders on the same pole, and they always eat from this one first, maybe the color, I got the green. Color night vision not very good and you can’t see anything either on the regular night vision but this is the case with most these types of bird feeder camera. I think they use the same model of camera. Priced too high in my opinion .

A perfect smart feeder for any bird lover!

Beautifully designed and easy to set up! The camera quality is excellent, even at night, and the AI bird identifier is surprisingly accurate. I love getting instant notifications when birds visit. The solar panel keeps it powered, and the squirrel-deterrent design really works.

A Bird Feeder That Actually Gets It Right

This works because it removes barriers to nature observation rather than simulating it.AI Identification Solves the Real ProblemTraditional birding requires field guides and expertise to distinguish species. That learning curve keeps it niche. Instant AI identification reverses the process—you observe first, learn automatically. Transforms specialized hobby into accessible curiosity for anyone.Dual Camera Modes Recognize Different GoalsLandscape for actual behavior observation—interactions, patterns, group dynamics. Vertical for shareable close-ups. Most products force a choice. This acknowledges users have multiple motivations: serious observation and social sharing. Both matter.Night Vision Reveals Long-Term DesignColor night vision and solar lighting aren't novelty features—they signal sustained use. You don't add nocturnal capability for two-week users. This targets year-round observation: dawn/dusk behavior, seasonal changes, migration patterns. Built for people developing ongoing relationships with their yards.Smart Squirrel DefenseRetractable perch on schedule beats typical exclusion methods. Works with timing differences between squirrels and birds rather than constant deterrence. Small detail showing ecological thinking beyond keep pests out.Storage Choice MattersSD card option avoids subscription trap. Cloud features often migrate from free to paid. Local storage keeps your data yours without recurring costs—honest approach for long-term users building behavioral archives.Automatic recording creates individual entertainment, but thousands of geotagged, timestamped observations become biodiversity monitoring. Citizen science infrastructure built into casual use. The product doesn't market this, but the framework exists. What It Actually isSustained attention to one specific place. Counterintuitive in attention-economy design. The family sharing feature creates connection through shared observation across distance—not content consumption, but common reference points in the physical world.LimitationsAI accuracy fails with juveniles, regional variants, rare species. Community could default to common backyard birds only. Even with SD cards, premium features likely require subscriptions eventually.Technology as bridge to physical world, not replacement. Removes expertise barriers, extends observation windows, makes solitary activity communal. Success depends on whether it rewards genuine curiosity or just engineers engagement metrics. If executed well, it doesn't disrupt bird-watching—it makes it accessible to people who wouldn't have started.

    Would be cool

It's awful that you can get a really cool bird feeder but have to have an app to actually look at the animal life. And that app costs money to watch them.

    Well Designed

This is a well designed bird feeder with a number of nice features. The feeding platform/base swivels and can be secured under the feeder. This makes it streamlined and more of a trail camera than a feeder. It could be useful during summer when natures food is abundant and you don't need to keep the feeder full.A separate solar cell mounted in the top operates a 'night light' that can turned on and off with a switch.A slot for a micro SD card is provided to image captures. A SD card is not provided. There are a variety of mounting methods.Overall its a nice feeder.Setting up the WiFi communication with a phone app is relatively easy and requires an e-mail verification.Video captures are limited to about 20 seconds unless you pay for a 'VIP' connection.I did have a problem registering the app due to an issue with e-mail. Customer service was not able to correct the issue and I eventually had to create a new, separate e-mail to get the camera to work. This is more a reflection on customer service than communication functionality. Four Stars

    Nice Bird Feeder

This is a very nice smart bird feeder. It is easy to setup, install and operate. This also has a separate and integrated solar / battery powered automatic feed hopper LED.My usage includes also purchasing / installing a 128GB Micro SD memory card for local storage. It isn't clear (possible for me to locate) what is local and what is remote data, but I'm not the best at software stuff. Not thrilled w/ a separate solar panel. One of my smart bird feeders has the solar panel integrated into the roof and IMO that appearance / installation is better. The initial wall wart charging requires a 1A maximum charger and almost all mine have greater output. Fortunately that is a one time deal as the solar does fine to keep the battery topped off. This is recommended.

    Impressive High-Tech Feeder

We live out in the country, and there are so many varieties of birds that come on our land. We wanted to set something up so that our Daughter could see exactly what types of birds were feeding outside of our home. The camera quality was decent. The camera and app is not difficult to use. I actually like that the color seems to blend in more with the surrounding area, instead of some loud obnoxious color that makes the feeder stand out a bit too much. I thought the feature that allows the AI to identify just about any type of bird was excellent.

Nice Feeder, but Camera Quality Disappoints

I really like the design of this bird feeder, but I’m not impressed with the camera. Compared to my other bird cams, the video quality just isn’t great. Even on the best HD setting, the picture looks blurry and doesn’t capture the surroundings clearly. It’s okay if you just want a general view, but for me it’s subpar and not as sharp as I expected.
