Solar-powered birdwatching camera with 2.5K HD video quality and AI bird identification. Customers praised "great quality" and "easy setup," though some experienced WiFi connectivity issues and inconsistent motion detection. Solar charging works well in sunny conditions but struggles on cloudy days. App functionality is mixed, with simple live viewing but complex features.

    I loved the quality.

I loved it! I have a little birdhouse, and squirrels keep coming over to eat their food all the time haha! With this camera, I can watch the birds and squirrels eating. I absolutely love it!

I purchased this camera to watch an active Owl box.
I mounted the camera on the pole 7’ from the box.
For the first few days running 24/7, it amassed high numbers in vids but caught nothing of interest. Full disclosure, we’d experienced windy days.
Many triggers to vids were near impossible to catch and in others movement the only obvious trigger 10s of yards away in the background.
    There have been no notifications.
The camera caught the comings and goings of the Male and the audio of the female calls only when I watched “Live” and recorded in anticipation of movement.
In spite of a very busy evening of activity, the camera, left to catch movement after I retired, caught nothing.
My anticipation that it will catch the young owls fledge is very low.

Best cam I ever had! And I tried many.

Can't say enough positive experience. Simple set up. Simple to operate. I think the originator is posting on FB. Perfect photos and videos. I like the portability of the all in one setup.

Easy set up. Works with the Coolfly app.

I am super happy with this Solar Bird Feeder camera. Wifi set up and connection was easy using the Coolfly app. This is my third Coolfly camera. The other two are window feeders. The app is awesome for connecting Bird lovers who want to share videos. This camera stand is made of metal and requires some assembly. Nice thing is, it can be configured different ways. So far the battery life has maintained a good charge even through some cloudy winter days. Picture quality is excellent. I may buy another to monitor a Birdhouse. Cannot beat the value!

    Very

The camera is very versatile and has great night vision. The images are very clear. The user activated alert feature helps to get the squirrels off the feeder. The installation is easily adapted to the feeder arrangement if the camera hardware is not used.
The Solar Panel is able to keep the camera at full power even in cloudy days.

Little Feeder is very simple but adorable and easy to fill

I have a ton of bird feeders in my yard and this feeder is on the small side, holds a little over one quart of food. The birds love it and I like that it has a hinged lid so you just pull the catch in the front to open it wide and it's super easy to fill. I like that because I typically have to use a funnel to fill many of my other feeders. The birds really seem to love it and on day one smaller ones were able to get to the food, knock it down to the ground for the bigger ones to then eat. However if you have squirrels be prepared for them to empty these things out in a couple minutes flat, they simply lifting the bottom piece up and dump the seed out. Frustrating! But it's still a really cute feeder. It's clear so not only can I see when it's empty but apparently so can the squirrels because unlike my other feeders where they will continue to chew on the feeder trying to get seed out even though they've dumped everything out, it seems like they actually realized this one is empty and once they've done their deed they leave it alone . I guess that's a win? At least they're not destroying it. This also comes with two long S hooks which really make for quick and easy hanging on a small maple tree out front of my porch.

Td;dr: very easy to fill, super easy to hang, and the birds love it

    Happy birds!

This is a cute birdhouse and not too big. It is easy to fill and comes with the extra hook on top - If you want to put it on a shepherds hook. Not too sure how long this quality of plastic will last, but overall, I know it will be great for this summer.

    Great Feeder

This feeder is really easy to setup and I really like how it comes with all the things you need to install it either with a support bracket or with a mail pole. The only thing that I don't like is that it doesn't come with a Micro-SD. card which is required for saving videos. Getting the SD card in there isn't the easiest task either. Apart from that I really like how it comes with a solar panel and you can charge it from the back. The quality of the materials is really great and the image quality is great as well. Very easy to setup in the app and also very easy to fill it with bird feed. Overall my experience with this feeder has been great and I will recommend it.

Love this! I am thrilled to be able to change the location at will. One day watching hummingbirds, the next day watching to see who visits the bird baths. Highly recommended.

This is my second bird camera, and I am having great trouble setting it up and getting it to connect to my WiFi. I will continue to try, but am seriously considering to send it back. The first camera in my hummingbird feeder is working perfectly! Not sure what is going on with this one????

Thank you for your continued support! We're so sorry for the WiFi trouble with your second camera.

We want to make this right! Please contact us at support@ourcoolfly.com with your order details so our team can walk you through it or arrange a quick replacement.

Battery and solar panel are sub par.

Camera is good quality and app is easy to use. However the solar panel is terrible and struggles to charge the camera even though it is in the sun all day. Battery life is terrible with medium traffic.

    Yep, it's worth it.

LOVE this camera! Captures great video, solar powered so you can put it anywhere. App is sufficient and we enjoy it. You could easily use this for a security camera.

    Works great.

Coolest thing I have purchased this year.
Set it and have not had to do anything to it. Solar panel keeps it charged.

    Great Purchase for Critter Feeding

This is a perfect feeder. Have recorded many critters visiting. Charged it initially via usb, since then the solar panel is doing a great job.

Camera is great! App is bad.

As the title says, the camera itself is quite good. It was easy to get assembled and into the ground. The WiFi connection is quite poor, so I recommend buying it only if you have a feeder close enough to your router (ours is placed on the router side of the house, close to the house wall, yet still doesn’t have full bars). The video quality is good enough, but only if you put the camera close to the feeder, as the video is somewhat pixely- anything in the background will become a blob. Can’t tell if this is a connection issue or a camera quality issue, but either way it’s acceptable in my opinion. The camera died on its second day, and wasn’t seeming to get any power from the solar panel, but I’m unsure whether it was due to the weather being cloudy or the charger not being in correctly, but it seems to be working well now, and the camera is easy to twist off the post and charge indoors. The roof for the camera doesn’t cover it well, so I’m worried about how it will handle poor weather, but there is a gasket covering the charging port and button area, so I’m hoping that’s enough. Haven’t used it at night yet, so no feedback there. However, the features for talking through the camera and sounding an alarm work, but the alarm doesn’t blink as I think I saw in the photos.

As for the app, terribly designed and coded. Many issues both signing up, navigating, and viewing birds. Identifying birds through the app requires either posting the video publicly or paying for a subscription, and the posting didn’t even work for me as it froze on 99%. Plus I didn’t want to post videos of my yard to begin with. After much pain, the app does in fact let you watch and play with the camera fairly easily but any other parts of it are a nightmare to use, so don’t buy it for any other features.

The first one beeped and beeped returned it. The second one knocked it out of the park

It came dead on arrival my first one also we do is beep. I ordered another one and returned the old one. The second one I was very happy with. It was a little tricky, hooking up my Wi-Fi to it. But I'm very happy with the way it works. The solar battery works very well. And never went low for what you get and what you're paying you're getting a lot for your money. I'm very happy with it. I've also discovered that a raccoon was knocking over my bird bath, which is one of the reasons why I bought this. Anyway, I wouldn't be afraid of buying this. It's a great value for its money. And you can move it around any way you want.

    For bird lovers

Considering the price I wasn't sure how the photo quality would be on phone but it is awesome. So much s that I purchased another for a gift. Love it.

It's okay, nothing fancy, but works just fine

I ordered this with every intention on using it to watch my bird feeder, however I received it during the winter and Midwest temperatures go below the threshold for minimum operating temp. Because of that, I decided to put it up in my bedroom window. (Come to find out I can't actually put it outside per my landlord, but I can keep it in the window). I knew quality wasn't going to be great because it's meant for short distances. While the image is grainy for objects several feet to even 30 feet away, objects within a couple feet are very clear. It doesn't come with an SD card, so I got one thinking I'll be able to watch past footage, but you can only go back and watch auto detected content. Big bummer. In regards to downloading the app and getting it connected, that went fairly smoothly. It took two attempts but I think that was due to an error on my end. Aside from that, it does take a bit of time to view the live feed once opening the app. It has to reconnect every time. There have been a few times I wasn't able to view the live feed and had to restart but other than that it takes about 30 seconds or so from first opening the app to viewing a live feed. Night vision works great and automatically switches as necessary. I initially fully charged the camera and didn't plug it in to any power source because I was curious about the battery life. It lasts several weeks before needing to be charged so no worries about lack of sunlight even days at a time. The speaker and microphone also work just fine. You can also hit the alert button that sends an alarm to sound for a few seconds to deter an unwelcomed guest. And turn a light on remotely through the app. The app allows you to connect and share images/recordings to the community but I haven't taken advantage of any of those features.
