This is a must have purchase if you have a compatible video bird feeder. I have the HIXX feeder and received my metal seed shield a week ago. It prevents birds from kicking seed out of the feeder bowl, greatly reducing the amount of seed wasted on the ground. Before installing the seed shield, I had to refill my feeder once a day. Now I can go at least two days before needing to refill the seed.

The app & camera set up were easy to setup
The features on the app are easy to navigate and very useful
Battery Life without a solar panel is approximately 2 1/2-3 days if site is extremely active in our case it was a robin's nest
Solar panel extended it a few days because it wasn't in direct sun
After robins fledged we moved it to an oriole feeder that gets lots of action and sunlight and it seems to be holding it's own
All and all it has been a enjoyable purchase will by another

The camera with multi-angle kit was perfect for our feeder. While leary of it at first, we laughed yesterday as there was a cardinal perched on the arm awaiting his turn at the plate lol 😂.
For those with 5G internet like ourselves, after setup go outside to where your feeder actually is. It will then connect to the 2.4G signal that most modern routers also puts out. Dual signals, 5G as well as 2.4G simultaneously. Hope this helps.

I originally bought a pole/cam combo through Amazon. But the pole wasn’t high enough so I bought this other pole to use for parts to extend my original pole. Now I love it. I’ve got it pointed at a hummingbird nest in my yard and I’m getting to see everything. It’s really cool.
