COOLFLY Flex AI Bird Cam

Got this as a birthday gift and I love it! I'm using it on my deck to livestream the black swallowtail caterpillars as they devour all my parsley, chrysalis and fly away. I have it mounted on an extendable gooseneck tripod, and the camera focuses very well at shorter range. Records straight to my phone if I keep the app open, the IR is excellent (watched a chrysalis form last night at 9 pm, it was magic)

The camera with multi-angle kit was perfect for our feeder. While leary of it at first, we laughed yesterday as there was a cardinal perched on the arm awaiting his turn at the plate lol 😂.
For those with 5G internet like ourselves, after setup go outside to where your feeder actually is. It will then connect to the 2.4G signal that most modern routers also puts out. Dual signals, 5G as well as 2.4G simultaneously. Hope this helps.

I'm extremely impressed with this smart bird feeder camera! The video quality is honestly fantastic, it captures very clear, sharp footage and makes bird watching a lot more enjoyable. I found it takes great quality video, really great detail both during the day and at night.

One feature I really enjoy is the bird identification feature. It can identify many bird species automatically, which adds a lot of fun to using it. It's not 100% accurate all the time, but it does a surprisingly good job overall and helps you learn about the birds visiting your feeder.

It's also very easy to save and share videos and photos with friends and family. I've already shared several clips because it's quick and simple to download and send recordings right from your phone. That ended up being one of my favorite features because you can easily share all the interesting birds and funny moments you capture.

Battery life has been excellent too. It lasts a long time on a charge, and I really like that you have the ability to add a solar charger for even longer run time and less maintenance. That's a huge plus for outdoor use.

Overall, this has been a great purchase for anyone who enjoys bird watching or nature. Easy setup, long battery life, bird identification features, simple video sharing, and excellent video quality. Highly recommend!

I charged up the camera up as soon as it arrived and downloaded the COOLFLY app in order to add the device to my password protected WIFI and pair it to my iPhone. The solar panel, sold separately, would be an easier way to charge continuously. After pressing the power button for 3 seconds, I placed the hand-sized camera on an exterior window sill directly across from the block seed feeder favored by our smaller birds. I used a shim to tilt it upwards a bit. It soon picked up these guys, which I transferred to my iPhone photo app and cropped for a pretty decent birdwatcher photo.

Theses cameras are perfect for bird watching! The Coolfly app is ready and fun to use, with lots of other enthusiasts sharing their videos.

I purchased a CoolFly camera for my Mom and in less than a month it didn’t work due to a severe thunderstorm and got moisture inside. After contacting CoolFly, the damage was not covered under warranty , however CoolFly made it good by sending an upgraded camera at no charge. I will definitely use CoolFly’s products

I got this bc we live in Florida where birds are here all year long ! I'm also a photographer and it's a great teaching tool for kids. It doesn't come with a clamp but I feel for the price of the camera and ai capabilities that's ok. Super cool camera!

I love birds and watching them is so peaceful. This bird camera is so cool. I was super excited to get it and I'm still very happy that I did.
It has night vision and I love that it functions at night. I haven't had many birds visit at night but when they have it has captured it with no issues. The recommended distance range is about 8 inches. I placed mine about 12 inches away and it still provides clear pictures. Any further than that though and the quality of video drops quite a bit. That could use some improvement as not everyone has the ability to place it that close.
It charges pretty fast and is really easy to remove for charging. It has the ability to solar charge with a solar attachment, which I think is amazing. I am waiting on a solar charger to see if that works like it should. Wish it came with a solar charger. It didn't come with a charger at all actually. There is specifications to the charging power that is supposed to be used, so make sure you pay attention to whatever charger you use.
Everything else has worked perfect.
I had no issues setting it up and getting it connected to the app. It came with very detailed instructions, which made setup a breeze. The app connected to camera without any problems. Nothing can be more frustrating then a product that won't connect to its own app. That did not happen. I followed the instructions and it connected right to it.
There is a dedicated SD card slot for those that want to keep the footage. I myself don't have that need, but happy that option is there if I choose. There has been plenty of cloud storage for what I use it for.
Live viewing is awesome and the fact that I dont have to pay any fees for it to keep identify or using the app is a enormous bonus.
So far it's held up to the claim of being waterproof, you just have to make sure the bottom where you charge it is completely closed.
All in all, I love this bird camera. Definitely a great product for bird lovers.

i am blown away by how well this product works. so easy to set up, and then you get beautiful pictures of whatever you point the camera at. the company Coolfly has both in app methods for saving and sharing pictures and a active facebook group where you can post as well. i think the company's business model is the best i've seen. just purchase the product - no further subscription is necessary.

I've personally been quite impressed with this bird camera & its video quality. The videos are so sharp & clear, making it easy to see the beautiful details in the different birds feathers. As a long time bird watcher & recorder of birds, this camera offers a level of clarity & detail that most other cameras do not provide. The motion alerts arrive quickly & the automatic video captures are a great feature for keeping track of wild & feathered friend visitors to the feeders. The AI bird identification has been mostly accurate & would be a great feature for new bird watchers or if you're in an area that has a large population of species, or has migratory birds stopping by. It's always fun to identify new birds stopping at your feeding stations, I know it's something I would get very very excited about. Unfortunately, I moved a couple years ago & where I live now, I don't get the wonderful surprise of discovering new birds in my yard. I have very few species here, along with no longer being in a birdie migration area. I'm glad to have previously been able to experience the migrating birds & dozens of species visiting, it's a very special experience if you truly love birds. This camera comes by itself, no mounting hardware or charging plug included, but I think the lower price reflects that. You likely have a USB-C charger in your home though, I know I had tons & that's what you need to charge. In regards to mounting, there is a threaded hole on the bottom, so I was able to find the correct size bolt & screw it into the camera body to easily mount the camera near my feeders. The wireless design offers users endless possibilities for placement options. All in all, this camera is a great choice for bird lovers that are seeking an ultra sharp picture & the wireless convenience.

The camera was delivered complete. The only items in the box were the camera and a small manual. It uses the Coolfly app and it took about an hour to get the camera connected to the app and the WiFi. While it was easy to install, I had to erase the app and reset the camera and restart the process after it froze and wouldn't respond, but it eventual worked and it takes great images and video. It doesn't come with any kind of charging system (solar or usb-c). There is a battery indicator icon on the home page of the app, but I couldn't find where it would send a notification of a low battery. This could be a problem after the camera is mounted. The ports on top of the camera have the typical rubber cap that is water proof. The battery charged with a USB charger I had in my stash with no issues.

Also, it doesn't come with and type of support. There is a 1/4-20 threaded socket like all cameras, but you're on your own as far as attaching the camera to a wall or tree.

The manual says 'enjoy 7 day free cloud storage'. Does that mean only one week of cloud...?

Overall a great little bird camera for someone that already has all the needed accessories like power and attachment. Seems to be on the expensive side for a camera only package.

Wife loves it and buying one means you will buy another because one just isn't enough for my bird watching wife.

Love the capabilities of this little, fairly inexpensive camera. Excellent pictures and it even gives you the bird names, for free! No subscription required. They're not always accurate, but neither is the paid services.
I have 2 of these, and along with a gooseneck clamp, they are easy to adjust to the angle you need for the best captures. I also like how you can switch the view around to fit your needs.
All in all, a very good camera for bird watching.

I found this pretty easy to setup. The battery life has been excellent, and I think it will hold up well to outdoor conditions.
I do wish there was a way to adjust the view distance. I was wanting to observe a particular nest that has taken over a ladder I keep outside. Unfortunately my only mounting option was to far away for this to work as I had intended.
I have used this in a few different locations now, and still looking for the best permanent location.
So far I haven't been able to test the AI Identification as mostly I am getting my horse and squirrels right now.
This would make an excellent camera to set up next to a bird feeder or bath, however.
The video quality is excellent and the night-vision also works well.
